Based in Geneva, Catalyse has been active for 15 years and has been declared of public usefulness. It contributes to a society that is more respectful of human beings and their potential, by promoting "happy creativity", a simple suggestion to adopt a healthy lifestyle that includes cultural leisure. With two options that combine and complement each other: practice and assist as a spectator, to be better and live better together. The association relies on 3 levers of action: artistic education / performing arts / cultural mediation. Catalyse manages a space of nearly 700m2 in Geneva and works in a transversal way, with a singing and theatre school for amateurs and a support system for professional artists. The school develops an innovative pedagogy, inspired by the Sonoga method, which reveals the voice and being by emphasizing improvisation and body mind tools. It is dedicated to amateurs and is involved in specific training courses for teachers. The incubator (support system with a focus on contemporary music, performing arts and cross-border artistic exchanges) is active on several fronts: reception of artists in residence, programming, assistance for production, dissemination and export, development consulting.
