The Bungalow Craft
www.thebungalowcraft.comArtist Bio I've been painting for more than 23 years, but it was only when I discovered the Arts & Crafts movement that I truly found my artistic voice. The Arts & Crafts style has been a muse on my shoulder for the last six years. My love story with this period-style artwork started with our home renovation where my husband and I turned a 1950s ranch home into a modern bungalow. I fell in love with the architecture, furniture, pottery, and lighting that when brought together make a house a home. I graduated from Colorado State University in 1997 with a BA degree in Graphic Design. I've been taking art classes since I was a child. My artwork has been displayed on exhibit nationally. I also serve as a board member for the Colorado Arts and Crafts Society. My artwork is about color, line, and shape. I strive to creatively translate the nature, architecture, and beauty around me into artwork for the Craftsman home. I also enjoy ceramics, photography, playing guitar and harp, as well as hiking in the Colorado High Country and climbing our amazing 14ers. I spend most of my time in my art studio with my loving husband and two children in Golden, Colorado. The Craftsman style is about putting your heart in the movement and creating heirloom art with your hands. I hope you are inspired by my artwork the way Stickley, Wright, Mucha, and Morris have inspired me. Whether you are renovating your bungalow, collecting mission style pieces for your home, or just inspired by the beauty of organic shape mixed with geometric stability, I hope that The Bungalow Craft brings one more piece of the collection home. - Julie Leidel email: julieleidel (at) thebungalowcraft.com
