Morgan Aircraft is developing a revolutionary Vertical Take-Off & Landing (VTOL) aircraft technology that aims to succeed in a $3 billion niche of the UAV market, and a $9 billion niche of the business jet and helicopter market. The Morgan is projected to combine jet-speed forward flight with the ability to land in a parking lot. Morgan’s customers will substantially reduce total travel times by eliminating the ground transportation legs of their trips, and by avoiding airport congestion. In addition, the Morgan will eliminate the need to purchase, operate, and maintain both jets and helicopters, as the Morgan will outperform both types of aircraft. The Morgan will effectively serve off-shore oil-rig crew changes, executive transport, personnel transport in the energy, timber, mining, and utility industries, and in air rescue, police, military, and air ambulance work. Third-party aerospace experts have reviewed the technology, stating that the Morgan “has a high probability of success in achieving its targeted performance.” The company has received substantial state and local incentive packages. Morgan’s disruptive technology will not only change the aviation industry, but many aspects of commerce, real estate, and social life. Morgan Aircraft has completed substantial engineering development efforts and has obtained patent protection. It is now raising additional capital to fund its entry into the UAV market, and the certification and production stages of the project.
