Lime Therapeutics is a Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center spinout creating new therapies for cancer. Our breakthrough platform is identifying medicines that can starve cancer by blocking it from getting a vital nutrient source - lipids (fats). Our first drug is a small molecule inducing ferroptosis (cell death caused by toxic iron buildup) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and we have shown that this drug increases mice lifespan in a NSCLC model by 50%. It is a drug with demonstrated safety in humans due to its previously developed clinical profile. We are taking this therapy into clinical trials within 12-15 months and concurrently creating a pipeline of new lipid-targeting therapies. Lime is based at the BioLabs at NYU space in New York City.
