Taiwan News began publication in 1949 as “China News.” It was the first English newspaper in Taiwan and carries the motto “Voice of the people, Bridge to the world”. As such, it places great value on the voice of the people of Taiwan and tailors that voice to be heard by the rest of the world. Now, as a digital news site, it publishes reports on both Taiwanese society as well as modern global trends, building a bridge of communication between cultures and nations.
