Since Rom Gummi was founded March 1983, the company has constantly developed, and today we service several industries. During the first years we mainly focused on the fishing industry including rubber fishing tackle for seine and net fishing. Later we began specializing in areas such as rubber covering of sheets and grippers for the robot industry. Some of our latest additions are fenders and detectable products. At the beginning of 2013 Rom Gummi had eighteen employees which is a trebling since 2008. The growth of Rom Gummi is a result of a continuous focus on adaptability and the ability to create individual solutions regardless the extent of the task; no task is neither too big nor too small. In 2008 Rom Gummi manufactured the first fenders for Hvide Sande Skibs- og Baadebyggeri. Two years later, this cooperation led to a joint establishment of the company RG Seasight Fenders, which delivers fenders to both Danish and international companies within the offshore industry. In 2010 Rom Gummi presented the product batch RG Detectline consisting of hygienic and technical equipment for manufacturing food and pharmaceutical products. The core feature of RG Detectline is the traceability of all products. Products are traced with either an X-Ray scanner or a metal detector.
