AAT opened two offices; one in Ho Chi Minh City, (Vietnam) and one in Bangkok, (Thailand) to manage projects in South East Asia. The regional office based in Thailand extended actions to Laos and Shan State, Myanmar and protects victims (including victims of sexual exploitation online), provides them with legal assistance, rehabilitation, career alternatives and empowers them to protect others. AAT in Vietnam focus its actions on community prevention and provide support for children and women at risk of sexual abuse or involved in sexual exploitation. AAT helps victims trafficked in Thailand, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam as well as Southeast Asian victims trafficked to other countries. Both offices are regional because they work anywhere in the region when necessary in order to provide protection to victims.
