Our Social Fabric (OSF) is Vancouver’s only non-profit textile recycling initiative that has been in operation since 2009 in Vancouver, BC. OSF is run by a small but passionate volunteer Board. We receive donations of textiles, fabric and sewing-related supplies from the film industry, theatre, manufacturing, estate closures together with home sewers and artists. Our mission is to divert textiles from the landfill and into the hands of creatives in our community. We have been awarded the Reel Green Approved Vendor certification by Creative BC and BC's Motion Picture Industry. Reel Green Approved Vendors demonstrate a standard level of sustainability in their organizations. OSF is committed to helping BC's Motion Picture Industry with its goal to be more sustainable. We are also a Certified Social Enterprise Supplier with Buy Social Canada whose mission is to promote social procurement by bringing socially driven purchasers and social enterprise suppliers together and to build business relationships that generate social benefits to communities across Canada.
