OnDemand Mechanic
www.ondemandmechanic.comAt the ripe old age of 9, my father decided it was time for me to learn how to work on cars. My mother just had an accident in her 1968 Camaro and my father decided to do all the repair work as he always did . That was the beginning of my love for cars and my official entry into being a gear head! When it was time for college, my father convinced me that “computers are where it’s at”. Of course he was right and that set me on the path to a career in Information Technology. I was fortunate enough to work for several large computer companies over my 30 years in the industry. I was in customer support for most of that time and became a top notch troubleshooter in the industry. At the peak of my career in customer support I was a tier 4 engineer which meant I was called on to fly to customer sites all over the US to help work on complex issues that our field engineers could not solve. Those troubleshooting skills have served me well in my life and translate to fixing just about anything. In 2016 I decided it was time for a change and started a business in a field that I absolutely love! I created On Demand Mechanic allowing me to troubleshoot and fix problems, and also gives me an opportunity to get in front of customers, both of which I really enjoy. I have been working on cars for 40+ years and no matter the problem or project, I get a sense of accomplishment every time I finish a job. My children are adults now and I felt the time was right to start my own business. I wanted to start a business that would not only be fair to our customers but also make it convenient for them by coming to them, on their schedule. No more sitting for hours in auto repair shop waiting rooms! A few facts about me personally: I moved to Oklahoma from the Chicagoland area in 1978. I graduated from Claremore High School and college from Oklahoma State University. I have been married to Karen for 31 years and we have 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
