This factory is located beside Bihara Station Yard, Silchar, Assam. BIhara station is about 1.30 hrs from Silchar town. You can travel by Plane to Silchar and take a cab to factory. The factory was setup in 2005 and it is a joint venture between PCM Group, Siliguri, West Bengal and Strescon Ind ltd, Kolkata, West Bengal. It has one Batching unit which Manufactures only Straight Line Monoblock Sleepers. The plant operates 24 hrs with 3 shifts in it. This plant supplies straight line pre stressed concrete sleepers to North frontier Railways and Northern Part of India. Settled on the base of a mountain, this factory is a pleasure to visit as you can see wonderful lush green agricultural fields surrounding it along with that you can see wonderful migratory birds and colorful trees. This factory has also supplied to Bangladesh Railway in Past and has great track record.
