The Netherlands Foundation was established with a wide-ranging brief to foster pride in the Dutch contribution to New Zealand. Some of our specific objectives include: - Recognising and acknowledging the contribution Dutch settlers have made to New Zealand - Promoting the Netherlands culture and heritage to the wider community - Collecting and conserving stories, art, culture and information pertinent to the Dutch community in New Zealand - Developing scientific, cultural, educational and business exchanges between the Netherlands and New Zealand - Facilitating and commissioning research into the contribution both past and present that Dutch New Zealanders have made - Providing a contact point for finding information about the Dutch community in New Zealand - Raising funds to financially support worthwhile efforts in pursuit of the above objectives
