Our mission is to fund stomach cancer research and awareness with the goal of finding a cure. Project Periwinkle was founded by Ben Broghammer in memory of his cousin Michon Runyon, who passed away in the summer of 2014 after battling with stomach cancer. The organization launched in May of 2015, and since then has raised tens of thousands of dollars and supported research programs around the United States. Project Periwinkle has an operating model that is rooted in being 100% volunteer based, which allows every dollar raised to go further in turning its mission into reality.
