Missions Statement A Labor of His Love, Inc. mission is to empower and encourage at-risk youth, marginalized women and young adults locally, nationally and globally through education and coaching services. A Labor of HIS Love, Inc. has a humble starting, it was originated in 2008 by Doreen Malcolm CEO/Founder. She began by providing fellowship breakfasts within her home, fostering the meaning behind the organizations name; it was truly a labor of love. Services included prepared meals and a platform for participants to engage in a warm familial setting to discuss various issues pertaining to love, life skills, social and economic issues. This processed fostered strong communal bonds that provided encouragement to assist with overcoming their barriers. The educational and training services offered by A Labor of HIS Love, Inc. is to provide advocacy to at-risk youth, marginalized women and young adults locally, nationally and globally. This reach will allow us to foster educational services, funding and resources to assist with their economic circumstances, health and financial advancement. The long-term goal of A Labor of HIS Love, Inc. is to empower the participants to stop the cycle of delinquency, poverty and homelessness; by offering services that promote sustainability and guidance. The organization has since evolved and assists to at-risk youth, marginalized women and young adults locally, nationally and globally. Having adopted a school in Lucea, Jamaica (Merlene High School); a part the outreach this organization is that we provide bibles and school supplies for the students and teachers. A Scholarship program has been organized to help cover the cost of uniforms, transportation fare, and school supplies for students in need. One of our goals is to provide services like this globally. We have developed creative ways for engagement; an example this is the fully catered 2- day faith-based women’s retreat that offers mentorships, workshops and breakout sessions. Our ultimate goal is to foster relationships that can offer encouragement, empowerment and education. A Labor of HIS Love, Inc. is committed to balancing its operating budget and operating on a solid financial foundation. These efforts are based on a mixture of revenues from events, various fundraising initiatives, partnerships with local businesses and charitable gifting. Just as revenues are tracked, internal expenses will be closely monitored.
