After 15 years studying and practicing Architecture in the UK, Netherlands and Australia, Bryan Cush established an industrial workshop in Melbourne's inner-north as an 'ideas testing lab' for developing concepts of sculptural, architectural furniture. This informal 'maker-lab' eventually morphed into a contemporary furniture brand, Sawdust Bureau. The combination of traditional craftsmanship paired with creative, cutting-edge, contemporary design is what sets this Melbourne-based studio aside from the competition. Their end goal is simple; produce high-quality, handmade, low-volume, fully-customisable pieces of furniture made only from Australian timbers.
