Indie X was born out of a strong need to showcase to the world the best games made in Portugal but also to bring great examples of what is being made across the globe to the portuguese public, as we felt it was very important to promote this interaction. The objective was both to shine a light on and help our creators to reach success in a highly competitive sector. On the other hand, to demystify the idea that only big studios can develop console games that reach millions of players worldwide. It ended up growing to be an international indie event physically located in Portugal, and also a digital event and contest with a Steam page presence.
