www.papsonline.orgFounded in 1998, the Portuguese American Postgraduate Society is an independent, non-profit organization, with no political affiliations and with the objective of promoting Portuguese students, researchers, entrepreneurs and artists working in the United States to both their host and home countries. Over the years PAPS has been involved in several outreach actions that culminate in a yearly Forum taking place in the USA. Our mission is as such: • To establish, nurture and represent the community of Portuguese and Portuguese-American graduates in North America • To stimulate the development of strong relationships between the Portuguese graduate community in North America and universities and companies in Portugal • To promote the interaction between the Portuguese graduate community in North America and the Portuguese-American community • To strengthen the influence and representation of the Portuguese academic and non-academic communities in the North American society • To help welcoming back the graduate community that returns to Portugal, as well as help guiding new prospective graduates to study/work in the United States
