Fundamental X started out designing systems for intelligent data extraction and indexing in the financial data industry. In 2011, with the advent of large scale disclosure and filing of XBRL, we launched XBRL XL to put this new level of detail and accuracy available in financial data onto the analysts desktop, namely Excel. In 2013 we won the XBRL Challenge, having been runners up in 2012. Today we offer push and pull XBRL data directly into Excel alongside our new web service API. We also offer consultancy and bespoke solutions to those organisations who want to integrate XBRL more fully into their own particular work processes.
