Lort Smith was established in 1936 by Louisa Lort Smith, a passionate animal welfare campaigner. Our not-for-profit organisation exists to improve the health and happiness of animals and the people who care for them. Lort Smith Animal Hospital – North Melbourne and the Campbellfield Centre aims to provide animal healthcare and wellbeing services that are world-class – regardless of the financial circumstances of the pet’s carer. We have a talented team of vets and nurses across the two sites who offer a broad range of high-quality animal health and welfare services.
