Camping Tent Industries are the pioneers of manufacturing Camping Tent in Sri Lanka today. The company was started in 1996 as School bags, ladies and gents bags manufacturing. Developing with the industry the bag manufacturing turned into Camping Tent manufacturing in the year around 2001. With the co-founder was joined with Scouting, he understood that there is a market space for camping tents in sri lanka. On those days all the tents were imported from abroad for Scouting purposes. By understanding the technology used on those tents he started to build up tents using local materials. In the Year of 2002 he sold his first tents to the scout groups who participated in 6th National Jamboree in Balapitiya. After that more and more businesses were come and developed. Nowadays not only scouting even for Tourism Industry those tents are manufacturing and selling in a customized way like Mobile Backpacking Tents as well are Mobile or Permanent Luxury Tents.
