Our House at Carpenters Way Ranch
www.ourhousecolumbus.orgOur House at Carpenter’s Way Ranch and Arabella Home for Girls serve children between the ages of 6 – 17 who have been removed from their homes by the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services due to abuse, neglect and/or abandonment. In September 2008, the merger of The Carpenter’s Way Ranch and Our House was pronounced a match made in heaven. The addition of Arabella, a girls’ group home in Waverly Hall, rounded out the organization in the Columbus Region. The facility on Veteran’s Parkway was closed and the administration and children moved to the Carpenter’s Way Ranch in Cataula. Along with Arabella, both campuses fall under the umbrella of the Methodist Home for Children and Youth, and we have seen the benefit of this perfect partnership beyond our expectations. We are grateful for the loving support and prayers the Columbus community bestows upon us and the children and youth we serve. Your faith in this partnership is a true blessing. With your help, we look forward to continued success serving children and families in Columbus and the surrounding counties. We have three homes on the Carpenter's Way campus in Cataula, GA: Averett, Davis and Smith-Coleman Homes. We have a second campus in Waverly Hall, GA: Arabella. All four homes can serve up to 34 children. Our Columbus campus offers emergency placement services to DFCS in Muscogee county, as part of our cooperative effort to meet the needs of our community both short- and long-term.
