We serve over 30,000 students a year, combining our low-cost course subscription with guaranteed credit pathways at accredited degree programs. StraighterLine courses have been accepted for credit at more than 1,000 schools. Our History StraighterLine was founded by Burck Smith in 2009 to provide a high-quality, low-cost alternative to the rising cost of college and to help save students a significant amount of money on the cost of their degree. Since then we’ve built a network of more than 130 partner colleges and universities who refer students into our low-cost pathway programs to earn credit, save money, and prove their academic readiness. More than 100,000 students have enrolled in StraighterLine courses before earning their degrees, increasing their skills in the workplace and advancing in their careers.
