As a young boy, William G. Pols, III loved watching landscapers mowing lawns in his neighborhood, and always jumped up from bed in the middle of the night to watch the snow plows working from his window. In 1992, Bill bought a lawn mower and started a small part-time business. As the business grew, Bill's love of the landscape business grew and in 1996, he left his corporate management position to do what he really loved. Armed with a degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from Rutgers University, Bill and his wife Dawn worked together to grow the company. An additional business acquisition provided even more growth in 1997, including the opening of a garden center. Under Dawn's direction and extensive knowledge of plants and landscape design, the garden center thrived until 2006 when the property was sold for development. To this day, we still maintain our relationships with our growers giving Good Earth access to great plants for your landscape! Another exciting step for Good Earth was in 2009 when we became part of LandOpt’s nationwide network.
