Orange Marine, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Orange Group, is a cable ship owner specializing in offshore work on submarine cables, from the design and engineering phase of new projects to the installation of new links and the maintenance of existing cables (telecommunications, energy or mixed). Orange Marine can operate anywhere in the world and for any type of customer: telecom operators, cable manufacturers, GAFAM, offshore wind farm operators, etc. Its know-how is recognized throughout the world. It has become a major global player at a time when submarine cables, which are becoming increasingly efficient, are of strategic importance to the world economy and are being deployed in all seas and oceans. Together with its Italian sister company Elettra Tlc, Orange Marine has a fleet of 6 cable-laying vessels and a survey vessel, representing nearly 15% of the submarine cable installation and maintenance market. By the end of 2022, Orange Marine's vessels had installed more than 287,000 kilometers of fiber optic submarine cable and carried out more than 800 repairs, some of them at depths of more than 6,000 meters. In addition, Orange Marine designs, builds and operates a complete range of subsea equipment for work on subsea cables (ROVs – Remotely Operated Vehicles, ploughs, trenchers, crawlers) that can work on any type of cable. In 2023, Orange Marine will add a new cable-laying vessel, the Sophie Germain, to its fleet. More information on marine.orange.com
