Galerie Pirlot is an art gallery and Space for social events based in Kreis 4, a hip district of Zurich. The area is the most cosmopolitan part of the city and very popular among young crowd. Opened in September 2017 the gallery was founded by three brothers with a broad expertise in art and design: Pierre Pirlot, an artist trained as an architect, Pol Pirlot, an art historian, both based in Belgium and Olivier Pirlot an interior designer with a solid background in the financial and corporate world who's aiming to improve people's life, based in Zurich. Galerie Pirlot is not a gallery in the traditional sense. The concept is a very innovative one, since it aims to work as a social platform which enriches peoples´ life, by supporting the public to explore its creative side and become sensitive to aspects which can improve someone's life quality, like a beautifully crafted object or the hidden universe of a work of art. The gallery aims to be more than a cold white cube, therefore welcomes its public to take part in interactive interior design and well-being workshops in several areas. Furthermore, the space is available on demand, to the public, for private and corporate events. Featuring original art works from Swiss, European, North American and African artists, both established names and emerging talents, the gallery organise regularly group and individual shows. Young talents are always welcomed to spread the message through their work. Additionally, the gallery acts as a concept store where a carefully curated selection of contemporary and mid-century design pieces can be discovered complimenting the art works.
