Through one company, I live in two worlds. At "Samantha Russell," I teach capacity building courses that provide professional skills and English language tuition to people who don’t have English as their mother tongue. I also dive into the worlds of editing, translating, and B2B and B2C copywriting. Whether it be through my work as a teacher, editor, translator or copywriter, there is one thing I’m always doing… something I apply to every project I work on no matter what it is… People and language observation. I never tire of analyzing people, learning how they tick, and trying to capture them through my teaching or writing. And what makes me tick? The state of education keeps me up at night, and I have to confess, I admire cheese classification systems; a country’s politicians may squabble and the economy may dip, but at least everybody’s on the same page when to comes to the national cheese hierarchy. Something freaky? My tannin tolerance is rather outlandish (too many cups of English tea). Nerdy interests? Blockchain, law, education, and language. Cool interests? All the arts. Long-term goals?
