Karakeeb MakerSpace
www.karakeeb.coWho is Karakeeb? Karakeeb started as a group of engineers who had a passion for technology and used it to create unique and cool projects (some of those projects are really wacky :D ). One of our values is to help people learn about science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics and how to use them, fall in love with them, and get the most of them. How do we do that? We hold various workshops at different venues, i.e., Jesuit Cultural Center, Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Alexandria University, NU, UNHCR, Goethe-Institut, and many more. These workshops are short hands-on workshops (for a single day or a couple of days), and they do not require a specific background, allowing people to get involved and get an insight on what new fields they could grow interested in. We hold specialized workshops (usually 4 to 10 days) for people who want to acquire a new skill, i.e., Arduino, robotics, green energy ... etc. We work on cool projects like Ecoخadra (you can know more about Ecoخadra by visiting http://fb.com/ecokhadra). We offer free technical consultancy and mentoring services. What is a makerspace? It’s a physical space where people with shared interests, especially in computing or technology, can gather to work on projects while sharing ideas, equipment, and knowledge.
