RunningWorks is a grassroots nonprofit that believes in health, community and opportunity and provides wellness initiatives, life skill development, social support and case management to promote positive lifestyle habits. Individuals experiencing homelessness and poverty are more likely to have health disparities and negative health outcomes, so RunningWorks has created a unique model of using sport, education and social support to assist Team Members (a.k.a. program participants) with their Health and Mental Wellness, with developing a Community of Support, and building bridges to increase Access and Opportunity. We envision a community where everyone has the opportunity to move beyond their comfort zone and prosper as their healthiest self.
