Refoodgees is social innitiative founded by people interested in supporting refugees, based in Rio de Janeiro. Our aim is to create opportunities for the refugees in the Brazilian job market, through culinary. We believe food is a cultural asset, that has the strength to unity people, allowing an exchange that is capable of generating empathy. We try to break the cultural barrier between the locals and the refugees, through a great range of actions in order to transform the relationships and eliminate prejudice and discrimination against the unknown. For us coexistence is essential to our everyday life, and it benefits everyone.
