2021 Virginia Library of the Year The Chesterfield County Public Library system has ten locations across the county. Libraries are open Monday - Thursdays 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Fridays - Saturdays 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Cards are free to residents of Chesterfield and the surrounding counties/cities of: Amelia, Charles City, Colonial Heights, Dinwiddie, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, Hopewell, King and Queen, King William, New Kent, Petersburg, Powhatan, Prince George and Richmond.
