Jam das Minas, the first game jam in Brazil to focus on the female audience, was founded in Recife, the capital of the Northeastern state of Pernambuco. In 2018 and 2019, our jams were hosted at Porto Digital's auditorium. In 2020, we went further and expanded the event, hosting simultaneous sites at both Recife and the Armazém da Criatividade (Creative Warehouse), a Porto Digital's technopole located in the city of Caruaru, in Pernambuco's countryside. Due to the pandemic, this year we are going virtual with the jam. Furthermore, we are proud to present Minas Game Dev Week, which will comprise of a series of professional workshops for partipants of the jam. This initiative aims to incentivize our industry - which already has renowned companies such as Manifesto, Puga, Diorama and Kokku -, to being increasingly inclusive and more diverse.
