We are specialised in coating equipment that is used in Oil and Gas (exploration and production), along with an expanded base including: automotive, hydraulic, pipeline valves and fittings, mould tools, textile, and within the aerospace and military industries (just to name a few!). For those expensive, capital investments, we also offer a repair and refurbishment service, meaning the service life of these items are extended for re-use many times over. With the deepest hard chrome plating facility within the UK, we have the ability to coat up to 8.5 metres long and up to 5 tonnes in weight. Not only that, but our electroless nickel capacity is one of the largest in the UK also, at 2.8 metres deep! Based in Manchester, UK, and close to all the major national road networks and an extensive network of air and sea ports, our services are supplied to customers not only within the UK and Europe, but worldwide. We have been granted IPR for temporary imports to the UK by the Customs authority, allowing us to receive parts from around the world, without the need for Import duties to be applied to our customers. Most equipment is designed on the basis of the mechanical properties of the metals used. Often this results in a compromise in the operational performance that can only be “fixed” by Surface Engineering.
