Vintage Virginia Apples (VVA) was founded in 2000 by the Shelton family to grow and promote rare and heirloom apple varieties. Still a family-owned operation, VVA launched Albemarle CiderWorks in 2009, producing award-winning ciders inspired by over 250 estate and locally grown varieties. Visitors are welcome at the North Garden tasting room which offers cider tastings, tours, apples, and a stunning location for private and public events.
