IFT (International Furan Technology) focuses on the development of projects and technology based on renewable/sustainable resources, such as agricultural wastes, for the manufacture of e.g. furfural and/or its many by-products (a bio-based chemicals). IFT is a privately owned South African company, founded in 2001 by a group of entrepreneurs with skills ranging from R&D chemistry, chemical engineering, marketing and manufacturing. They are experienced professionals and are equally 'at home' in the academic world as well as in project and engineering environment
