Metropolitan Urban Design (MUD) Workshop
www.mudworkshop.comMUD Workshop is a people-centric urban design and planning practice dedicated to the revitalization of neighborhoods and public places. We emphasize climate responsiveness and advance community-led ideas in planning our public realm and neighborhoods. Central to our approach is stakeholder and community engagement, for which we have developed a number of interactive techniques, both digital and in-person, to ensure a sound understanding of the specific needs of the current and future inhabitants and users. Our deep expertise in site planning and design, master planning, streetscape design, land use and zoning, environment, and sustainability, provides us with a strong basis for conceiving projects and programs rooted in the integration of urban and environmental systems. MUD Workshop has led and collaborated on several award-winning and interdisciplinary projects. The firm received special recognition for outstanding and invaluable service to the community by PA Congressman Matt Cartwright and State Senators Boscola, Browne and Scavello for drafting the Easton Comprehensive Plan: Transform > Unify > Thrive. Currently, the firm is engaged in developing a 2-mile long greenway along a tributary of the Hudson River in Newburgh, the redevelopment of five brownfield sites in Upper Manhattan, the resiliency plan for Sullivan County, and marketing plan for NYC's off hour delivery program.
