Established in 1976, today Stop-choc Ltd is part of the Hutchinson group, the rubber & chemicals division of TOTAL & world leaders in the manufacture of rubber, elastomeric and plastic products. HISTORY Stop-choc Limited was first set up as the British operating company for the Vibrachoc Group. Since early 1977, we have operated a manufacturing unit at Slough, primarily for the design, development & production of illuminated display panels, anti-vibration mounts & electronics racking. In 1994 the Vibrachoc group joined the TOTAL group HUTCHINSON, world leaders in the manufacture of rubber products whose head office is in Paris. Since 1934, Paulstra has been designing & developing anti-vibration mountings & systems to meet the most extreme applications. In 1994 they were joined in the Hutchinson organisation by Vibrachoc and Stop-choc to become one of the world's leading manufacturers. Barry Controls, the highly regarded American organisation joined Hutchinson in 2000 & in 2005 its UK operations were fully integrated into Stop-choc. PRODUCTS ● Vibration & Shock Isolation Stop-choc design and manufacture anti vibration mounts, vibration isolation products & vibration isolators, shock mounts, shock isolation systems & anti vibration racking. ● Illuminated Control Panels & Displays The control panel division of Stop-choc design & manufacture cockpit illuminated control panels in aluminium & acrylic using filament lamp, LED & electroluminescent light source technology. Control panels & keyboards include push button switching systems, logic circuitry and displays, integrated within the panel body. ● Avionics Racking We design & manufacture light weight aluminium & stainless steel trays, bases, racking systems & associated hardware for installing electronics and avionics equipment on board aircraft, military vehicles & naval vessels.
