I'm introducing a new mulch (Longleaf Pine Straw) option to consumers and businesses seeking a change from the traditional hardwood mulches in the Mid-Atlantic and New England states. Pine Straw Mulch can be used in a variety of landscapes types such as, flower beds, walkways, natural areas, steep banks, pet bedding, fruit and vegetable beds. Longleaf Pine Straw Mulch offers all the benefits of a traditional hardwood mulch, along with adding a unique texture and color to a landscape and the environmental benefits. The more demand there is for Longleaf Pine Straw, the more Longleaf Pine Trees are planted. Consumer attitudes, perceptions and behaviors are evolving toward the initiative of all of us to demonstrate more social and environmental responsibility and awareness. This way of thinking applies to all areas of a consumer’s life, including purchasing decisions for the home and business. For every bale of pine straw sold by the Mid Atlantic Pine Straw Mulch Company, one Longleaf Pine tree seedling will be planted. This effort will contribute to the sustainability of the Longleaf ecosystem which is one of the most ecologically diverse in the world.
