PW Mining International is a general contractor, operating in Contract Mining, Civil Engineering, Building Construction and Property Development. PW employs people from across the globe. Operations presently are based in various West African countries. PW commenced operations in West Africa in 1974 and PW Ghana Ltd was later established in 1995. Heavy Earthmoving and Site Development have been a specialty since the early days. The company owns and operates a very large fleet of heavy equipment maintained by skilled and experienced personnel. Industrial construction is another area of specialism of PW. We have constructed numerous structures and facilities for a range of clients. Industrial construction is executed as a project in itself, or as part of a larger civil engineering project. We can offer industrial construction on a design and build basis. All work from foundations to commissioning is executed in house. Heavy Duty Pavement construction in airfields, ports and other areas can be offered on a design and build or construction only basis. Notable design and build contracts include over 150,000m2 of heavy duty paving at the MPS container terminal in Tema (completed 2008) and the Aprons and Taxiway reconstruction project at Accra airport. The company owns and operates a number of quarry aggregate, concrete and asphalt production facilities in various locations to service its contracts and this ensures quality and availability of materials.
