BME also owns 25% of Metal Price Analytics: mathematical models for ore and metal prices in USD and CNY. INVESTMENTS VIA BLOOMSBURY INFORMATION CAPITAL (BIC) BIC owns 5% of Mutinex of Australia (SaaS measuring the ROI on marketing spend) and 4%+ of Minviro of the UK (SaaS & consultancy helping measurement & minimisation of mines' environmental footprint). INVESTMENTS VIA BLOOMSBURY NATURAL CAPITAL (BNC) BNC has taken 6% of a convertible loan financing round at Xilva AG of Switzerland, which brings together financing and forest-positive projects, and owns 4% of Cascadia Seaweed Corp of British Columbia. BME's ORIGINS BME was founded in 1993 by Peter Hollands and Barbara Sotowicz. It originally specialized in copper market analysis. From 2001, it added mathematical price models for six LME metals, plus gold and crude oil. It very successfully provided hedge fund advisory services for four years. From 2006, BME started to acquire minority shareholdings in mining-related businesses: Mining Journal/MCL (from 2006-08), FastMarkets (2008-12), IntierraRMG (2009-14) and Roskill (2010-21). Those companies went into trade sales. BME also owned shares in ASX-listed Aspermont (2008-09).
