The Angie Kennedy Educational Foundation

www.akefoundation.org

The Angie Kennedy Educational Foundation was established in 2010 to honor the life and legacy of Mrs. Angie Kennedy. While Mrs. Kennedy never completed secondary education, she stressed the importance of formal education, secondary education and technical training. She encouraged her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to follow their dreams and be the best that they could be. More importantly, Mrs. Kennedy instilled the value of helping those that are less fortunate than ourselves. The Mission of The Angie Kennedy Educational Foundation is to enable youth who lack the financial resources, including the descendants of Angie Kennedy, to pursue a baccalaureate degree or vocational certification. The Foundation's goal is to grow financially in order to provide grant scholarships to other youth who may not have the financial resources to afford them the opportunity to receive a tertiary (university, college, post-secondary vocational training, etc.) education that will enable them to become a contributing member of society.
