The research group Technology for Healthcare Innovations is part of this research centre with 3 pilars of interest to achieve their objective being: ⃝ Smart Technology – What are the requirements for a healthy environment or space? In the line of research ‘Smart Environment’, we conduct research into sustainable adaptations to homes, various engineering aspects and ‘healing environments’ - environments that promote the well-being of people. ⃝ Smart Care - How can healthcare be organized in a smarter and more convenient way? In the line of research ‘Smart Care’, we develop eHealth applications for healthcare professionals. With these applications, healthcare professionals can monitor physiological functions among the chronically ill. Our focus is on how and when a healthcare professional should act. We also consider what is needed to justify a remote action. ⃝ Learning HUB - How to convey the transfer of knowledge-sharing? Enhance new research projects and provide our university students, stakeholders and healthcare professionals the possibility to be part of the global development of Technologies as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented Reality (AR) en Mixed Reality (MR).
