Cycle4Change is a fundraising group of South Cross Kids' Camps Australia. We hold cycling events to raise money to fund kids camps "Making a difference in the heart of a child" Cycle4Change all started from a simple dream discussed among friends one Saturday night: We wanted to ride some big kilometers in a short space of time. But it wasn't enough to just ride for fun. We wanted to raise money to make a positive impact in the lives of kids who have suffered abuse or neglect through donating to Southern Cross Kids Camps. After months of work-shopping, we decided that talking wasn’t enough and we would do it. We took action. In it’s inaugural year 2017, a bunch of 9 friends planned and self-funded a ride from Canberra to Melbourne over 4 days. We raised a little over $23,000, 100% of which which went to SCKC. The fun, success and satisfaction of this first ride got us thinking about future rides immediately. Since then we have held a ride each year and raised over $370,000 We hope that this now annual event will continue to grow each year, raising money and creating a greater awareness of the work that SCKC do through their camps. Most importantly, we want to provide opportunities for kids to have positive experiences; a time where they receive unconditional love; a place of safety and a week of happy memories.
