The mission of the AIDS Coalition of Southern New Jersey is to provide comprehensive support services for people infected or affected by HIV/AIDS, in Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Salem Counties of New Jersey, through leadership and community collaboration. RESPECT * EDUCATE * EMPOWER * SUPPORT In June of 1981, the world entered an intense battle with the disease we now know as HIV/AIDS. As the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and healthcare providers struggled to identify and treat this new health threat, organizations like the AIDS Coalition of Southern New Jersey (ACSNJ) joined them on the front lines. ACSNJ was founded in 1988 and incorporated in 1989. Since this time, ACSNJ has grown from a small grassroots organization with only several programs into a comprehensive social service agency with a wide array of programs and services for individuals and families.
