Finding North is a concept about discovery of your own true north, sharing stories and igniting hope in others to help them on their journey. Because everyone has their own ‘True North’: a vision of where they want to be in the future. And regardless of what your mental health circumstances might be, everyone deserves the support to reach their chosen ‘True North’. Like the North Star in the night sky, Finding North is a fixture of hope, sometime hard to see but always there. Finding North is funded by the Australian Department of Social Services, was founded through co-design with lived experience and carer representatives who were brought together to design information resources for people living with complex mental health conditions. Their work in this space will come to life in the form of a website and resources due to be launched in December 2021.
