The Forum Civil Peace Service (forumZFD) is an association of various German peace movement and non-profit organizations aimed at creating and strengthening the instruments of civilian conflict resolution by non-violent means. The forumZFD works with alternatives to violence, both in our own projects, in our trainings and through advocacy of the Civil Peace Service concept. It is a non-governmental organisation with around 40 member associations and 240 individual members. The Academy for Conflict Transformation, within the forumZFD, trains people to become qualified peace consultants. The forumZFD itself assigns peace consultants to conflict regions, in cooperation with member organizations from the German peace movement, and on the invitation of peace-willing local partner organizations. www.forumZFD.de
