BuuPass is a digital marketplace for urban travellers to book their travel tickets. Our mission is to provide simple transport solutions that allows people to get from Point A to Point B. We envision a world where people can be travel on their terms, be connected to opportunities, and live a life without borders. We challenge ourselves to make simpler, smarter, and more sustainable solutions that positively impact daily lives. BuuPass is currently operating in Nairobi, Kenya and allows travellers to book their bus tickets from their phone and pay with mobile money, saving customers time and money from having to physically go to the booking office. BuuPass, previously known as Magic Bus Ticketing, won the prestigious 2016 Hult Prize Challenge, the world's largest student competition for social good. Their challenge was to better connect people to goods and resources. They were awarded the $1M prize from President Bill Clinton. The Hult Prize compelled them to start a social enterprise with the core belief that people and their time are valuable, and that everyone deserves access to opportunities. We accomplish this through offering widespread convenience to travellers, that allows people to save their time and money when booking their tickets.
