The Student Section of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers at UC San Diego recognizes its mission to 'be the go-to organization for all the co-curricular needs of mechanical engineering students at UC San Diego : professional, social and engineering skills development". Currently, the ASME is nurturing three project teams: the Human Powered Submarine team, the Triton Competitive Robotics team and the Mars ROVR robotics team all of which are lead by team leaders. The society is run by the Executive Board, that is made of the President, the Vice President of Internal Affairs, the Vice President of External Affairs, The Vice President of Finances and the Director of Technology.
