The formation of YHM aims at promoting and educating youths on the importance of green technology and its benefits towards sustainable living through various programs and activities conducted under the organization. YHM also plays a pivotal role in promoting and encouraging the participation of Corporate Entities, Communities and the general public towards increasing green living practices in Malaysia through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and sponsorships whilst creating awareness and call for actions on the importance on having a greener lifestyle. Yayasan Hijau Malaysia’s programs are tax exempted for initiatives organized under the Green Technology Development and Environmental Conservation Categories as a national interest project in accordance with the authority of the Minister of Finance under section 44 (11C), Income Tax Act 1967. With this approval, donors (both corporate and individual) contributing to the Green Technology Development and Environmental Conservation Programs organized by Yayasan Hijau Malaysia are eligible to claim income tax deduction.
