One Journey
www.onejourneyfestival.comThe One Journey Festival is a grassroots coalition built to create a visible platform to celebrate refugee talents and contributions and change the narrative about refugees. This year's festival will take place on Saturday June 25, 2022 on the grounds of the Washington National Cathedral and is expected to draw 3,000+ participants. The One Journey Festival aims to connect cultures through food, fashion, music and dance as we celebrate refugee talents and stories, and empower participants to take actions to stand in solidarity with our global displaced brothers and sisters. Hosted on the main stage by popular TV personality and DC media ambassador Tommy McFly, the one-day event features refugee and immigrant musicians, dancers, and storytellers, plus virtual reality experiences, Global Marketplace, kids’ activities, International Food Lane with food trucks, and the crowd-pleasing Unity Parade. Shared Studios’ immersive 3-D experience is connecting festival-goers with refugees in Uganda and Iraq. Teqball is new this year on the sports field with their uniquely curved tables. And in the Take Action tent, visitors will explore ways to get involved with 35 service organizations – and keep the magic going after they return home.
