Balancing a rich history of tradition with active connections to the contemporary fields of practice and research, the Department of Health Administration at VCU is a unique place to study. We offer students a 21st century education while exploring firsthand the influences of the past. Our history is rooted in preparing our graduates with the leadership agility to be successful in a highly competitive and constantly changing environment. For 70 years, students have completed our program armed with the business savvy, political skills, and ethical principles to meet the complex challenges facing today’s healthcare leaders. Starting in summer 2919, our new state-of-the-art building will house the entire College of Health Professions and will create a rich inter-professional learning environment for our students. We will truly have the best of both worlds: a brand new facility that still maintains our presence on VCU’s medical campus. This location affords our faculty and students the opportunity for exposure to multidisciplinary healthcare leadership practices ranging from specialized research projects and health care organization and delivery innovations, to the management of one of the nation’s leading tertiary care trauma centers.
