SHREE MOTILAL KANHAIYALAL FOMRA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY is an engineering college that aims to change the face of higher education. Located in the Thaiyur village near Kelambakkam on Old Mahabalipuram Road (IT Highway) 35km from Chennai, the college is spread over a sprawling area of 25 acres. Established in 2001, the college aims to impart education that will thoroughly prepare students for a professional career in any field of their choice. The college offers 4-year Bachelor of Engineering/ Technology degree programmes in Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering. The college has also masters' degree programmes in M.E. (Computer Science and Engineering), M.E. (Power Systems Engineering) and M.E. (VLSI Design). A 2-year postgraduate programme in Master of Business Administration was introduced in the year 2009 - 2010.
